Behind the Lens – February Newsletter

February, the month of love and proposals and our shortest month, (even with the extra day this year,) has been a busy month for photography. So, grab a coffee, get comfortable and have a read of what’s been happening on this side of the lens.

This month it’s been all about the product shoots. A new putty for wood patch filling, single glazing and glass from the French company Touprethas launched in the UK. Screwfix is stocking this amongst others. I was asked to shoot this product for the Screwfix website, through one of the agencies I work with Digital Firefly

One of my regular customers is Funky Hampers in Lower Dicker. They have so many amazing products all based around sweets, chocolate and wine! (My favourite) They do lots of other products too. This set focused around Mother’s Day gifts.

The wonderful team at BSE3D had all new headshots for their website through Artemis Marketing. The guys are so much fun to work with and they embraced the shot with lots of energy and enthusiasm.

This month was Half Term and so we took a family break to visit the in-laws in Northern Ireland. Sadly we didn’t escape the abiding rain. In fact we had a lot more weather than at home. However aside from the wind, rain, hail, sleet and snow, we had a wonderful time  including a walk on the beach and spa treat. I really think a break from work is essential for our health.

I’m excited to say that I’m finally happy with my several attempts at redesigning my brochure for agencies. It’s only available as a download PDF at the moment, but eventually will be in hard copy. To download a copy please click here. It includes prices and packages I offer.

And finally…….as a member of BNI in Hastings, I presented my second 10 minutes, on my business and how people can refer to me. This type of thing makes me so nervous, even though I can direct a shoot and stand up and speak to strangers without any nerves, but standing up in front of my business peers makes me want to crawl into a ball. But, it went really well I’m pleased to say.
