Recently I've had a run of product and test shoots for cosmetics and perfumes. Although all different there has been a similar theme running through.
The standard white e-commerce shot has been overtaken recently by beautiful images that evoke the need for the lifestyle that goes with the product. More increasingly its the simple and eco friendly world.
The use of flowers in perfumed product shoots has increased. Showing the customer what's in the product, (especially if it's simple and natural) is a must. As the consumer moves away from plastic and over processed food, cosmetics and other consumables, it's up to the manufacturers to become more and more transparent.
So not only ensuring packaging is eco friendly and recyclable, with all ingredients listed, they must also SHOW through professional photography what's in the box!
