Behind the lens – June & July 2020

So how are you? Last time I wrote we were all getting used to being in a lockdown. Now we’re getting used to living in a strange in-between world, where some things are going faster than others. With pubs, restaurants and hairdressers now open again, I’m focusing on these businesses in order to photograph their new COVID environments. So have you any clients that need their images updated to reflect this? As this will remain in place for a long time to come, showing off safe interiors will be something business owners will benefit from, as customers return.

May, June & July 2020

Akro Valve

Over this period I’ve continued to focus on product photography and was asked by the lovely Mark at Tomango to take product shots for a local Polegate business who make precision water flow control valves. Their new site is still in construction but I really enjoyed creating these images. I think they’re really rather beautiful when photographed. Don’t you?

In the Loop Drinks are a small drinks manufacturer surrounded by English wineries that are as forward thinking asthey are, allowing them to create delicious drinks and showcase their shared novel ingredient. They came to me in early June asking for their range of Vermouth to be shot for lifestyle (see top image) and also for e-commerce uses.

Chocoloates and Roses

My lovely client Funky Hampers have started producing new style bouquets hampers, using Yankie Candles and chocolate. There are a large range available on their website.

These are always great to shoot, I’ve been working each month with them now for over two years. Do you have clients with on-going needs for product photography? I have retainer packages so just email me to learn more.

Where is Purple Cow?

Another client I’ve been working with since March is Purple Cow Office Supplies. I’ve really had some fun creating images for their social media.

We’ve continued our Lego theme and looking at Purple Cow now cutting work to attend cinemas and hairdressers from 4th July.  We’ve also created images around their new app, school offerings and other marketing messages.

Haircut

Who’s managed to get to a hairdressers since 4th July? I’m still waiting for my appointment in a couple of days. However I’m kind of loving my lockdown hair, which has gone from a crop to almost a bob in about four months! Every cloud…..and ideas.

Lastly, I’m very excited to announce that from 1st September I’m going to have a little re-brand. I’ve commissioned a great Graphic Designer to redesign my logo, and various other things. Along with some other exciting things, which I’ll keep you posted on, August and September is looking great!

Until the next time, stay safe and take care everyone.

If your clients need commercial photography, get in touch and lets chat over Zoom on how we can work together.
